Didn’t realize that I had ordered the Battery operated version but am happy overall. The extra weight from the 4 D cell batteries help keep the unit stationary while it is shaking. The shaker seems to work better if you make sure you have the center of gravity (no the center of the bottle) in the center of the shaker. You can tell when you have achieved this as the sound and rate of shaking will change. Overall it does what it is designed to do and greatly reduces the frustration of shaking hobby paint bottels
